Dublin Marathon 2024
The 2024 Dublin Marathon took place earlier today, bringing thousands of runners onto the streets of the capital for one of Ireland’s biggest and most iconic road races. Conditions were favourable and the city once again delivered a brilliant atmosphere with strong crowd support throughout the course.
Congratulations to Dean McCloskey on completing his first Dublin Marathon, a huge personal milestone and a fantastic achievement. Finishing a first marathon is the result of months of training, commitment, and determination.
There was also an excellent performance from veteran runner Oran Finegan, who finished earlier in the day in a superb time of 2 hours 49 minutes. A strong and controlled run that reflects his experience, consistency, and hard work.
The Dublin Marathon continues to be a highlight of the Irish running calendar, offering something for both first time marathon runners and experienced athletes. Today’s race was another reminder of the spirit of the event, with runners supporting one another and crowds lining the streets to provide encouragement from start to finish.
Well done to all who took part in the 2024 Dublin Marathon, whether chasing a personal best or simply aiming to reach the finish line. A memorable day of achievement, resilience, and community on the streets of Dublin.
